Squirrels- They plague me

I have a fear of squirrels. This girl I knew in elementary school was bitten by one and had to get rabies shots. Ever since then I have had “squirrel fear”. And they know it- the squirrels. They sense the fear. To them it smells like acorns tinged with peanut butter and sunflower seeds. And so they are drawn to me. There was this squirrel at our old apartment complex that literally would chase me around the outside of the building, screaming. I say literally because the squirrel would inch towards me with interest while I would run and scream and beg for my husband to save me. My husband in turn would tell me I was insane and ignore me. So sometimes it took me a LONG time to get to the car. Anyway, I fear the squirrels. And I hate it when there is one in a tree that I have to walk under that could jump on my head and give me rabies.

Today I saw this…

To say that this is the scariest platter I have ever seen is an understatement.

Whaaaat?

I have the same problem with bees. I am allergic and terrified of bees and wasps. And they know it. They chase me. I can weave and dodge and they follow me. They try to fly in my car when I drive with the windows down- Can anyone tell me why bees hang out at intersections? You would think the constant motion of cars would make them want to stay away for fear of being squished onto a windshield, but no. So I am right there with you on the squirrel thing. Have you had to factor your daughter into the equation? I am glad to say that MOST of the time I stand between my daughter and the bees. :)
